How to Use

To use the Instant Paint Lead Test Swab, begin by wetting the tip of the swab with clean water and shaking off any excess liquid. Once the tip turns mustard yellow, it is activated and ready for use. Rub the swab firmly on the surface you wish to test for approximately 30 seconds. If lead is present, the swab will change to a red, violet, or pink color. No color change generally indicates no detectable lead. Always refer to the color guide on the label for reference. After testing, dispose of the swab in regular household waste.

Safety & Handling

While the Instant Paint Lead Test Kit is safe for household use when handled as directed, the chemicals used can be an irritant. The swabs are sealed and pre-dosed to minimise exposure risk, but standard care should still be taken during use. Avoid direct contact with eyes, mouth, or prolonged skin exposure. Always wash hands thoroughly after handling.

Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not ingest or inhale the contents of the swabs. If accidental contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical advice if irritation persists. Use in a well-ventilated area and dispose of used swabs with household waste. Do not reuse or attempt to open the swabs.
