Description
The DIY Home Mould Test Kit provides a simple way to screen for potential mould contamination within your home, office, caravan, rental property, or workplace. Designed for easy use without specialised equipment, this kit allows you to test indoor air, air-conditioning vents, and surfaces where mould growth may be suspected.
Mould occurs naturally in the environment and plays an important role in breaking down organic matter. However, when excess moisture is present indoors, mould can begin growing on walls, ceilings, furnishings, air-conditioning systems, and other surfaces. Early detection can help identify areas that may require further investigation or remediation.
This DIY Home Mould Test Kit contains a prepared testing plate, reagent solution, swab, and instructions. Once prepared, the kit can be used to collect samples from indoor air or suspected mould-affected surfaces. After incubation at room temperature, any mould colonies present may begin to develop on the testing plate, allowing you to visually observe potential contamination.

How It Works
The test plate is prepared using the supplied reagent before sampling begins. Depending on the area being tested, the plate can be exposed to indoor air, positioned near an air-conditioning vent, or inoculated using the supplied swab from a suspected surface. The plate is then incubated at room temperature and monitored for signs of mould growth over the following days.
Important Information
This product is intended as a DIY environmental screening tool only and is not designed to diagnose health conditions or determine whether mould exposure is responsible for medical symptoms. The presence of mould growth on the test plate indicates that mould spores may be present within the tested environment and may warrant further investigation.
